||Fluffy French Toast

Saturday:

  1. Made for sleeping in. (The reason this post is also being created at noon…)

  2. Made for brunching.

My mother always made french toast for my sisters and I. It was a quick and easy meal for 4 daughters and a farmer. Although I love having french toast for brunch I’m also a fan of brupper…

Brupper:

  1. Eating breakfast for supper. (Yes I say supper not dinner…it’s a Midwest thing).

We’re learning so much already today!  Enough with the chit chat.  Recipe is below.  Quick, easy and painless.

Fluffy French Toast

French Toast

Ingredients

1/4 cup of all-pupose flour

1 cup of milk

1 pinch of salt

3 eggs

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp white sugar

12 slices of your favorite bread

1 tbsp coconut oil (for greasing the pan! I always use coconut oil for greasing.)

Directions

  1. Add flour into large bowl.  Slowly whisk in milk, salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth.

  2. Heat griddle to medium.  Add coconut oil to grease the pan.

  3. Soak bread slices in the mixture and cook bread on each side until golden brown.

  4. Top with your favorite maple syrup, fruit, and powdered sugar if you desire. Lastly, don’t forget your mimosa and ENJOY!
